    This Privacy Policy explains how First Run Now ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you use firstrungnow.co.uk (the "Site") or any of our calculators, contact forms or broker-matching service. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

    We only collect data you actively provide via our forms and calculators. Specifically:

    • Contact details: name, phone number, email address.
    • Location data: postcode (optional, used to match brokers regionally).
    • Mortgage scenario: the buyer type, credit situation, income, deposit and any notes you share about your circumstances.
    • Calculator inputs & results: the figures you enter into our calculators and the calculated outputs, so a broker can sense-check them with you.
    • Technical data: basic, non-identifying analytics such as page views and device type, used only to improve the Site.

    We do not perform credit checks, request bank details or collect special category data. Please do not submit financial account numbers or passwords through our forms.

    3. Why we use it (lawful bases)

    • Consent (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): when you submit a form or calculator, you are asking us to use your details for that purpose. You can withdraw consent at any time.
    • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): running, securing and improving the Site, and connecting you with an appropriate broker.
    • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where we must retain records to comply with UK law.

    4. Who we share data with

    When you ask to be matched with a broker (including via our calculators where you tick the broker consent box), we share your details with one carefully vetted, FCA-regulated mortgage broker whose specialism matches your scenario. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with multiple brokers, comparison sites or marketing lists.

    We also use the following processors strictly to deliver the Site:

    • Google (Apps Script / Sheets): stores the form data you submit.
    • Hosting and CDN providers: serve the Site and protect against abuse.

    We may disclose data where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

    5. International transfers

    Some processors may store data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

    6. How long we keep data

    • Lead and enquiry data: up to 24 months from your last interaction, then deleted.
    • Email correspondence: up to 24 months, unless we need to keep it longer for a legal or regulatory reason.
    • Analytics: aggregated and anonymised; not tied to you.

    7. Your rights under UK GDPR

    You have the right to:

    • access a copy of your personal data;
    • have inaccurate data corrected;
    • have your data erased ("right to be forgotten");
    • restrict or object to our processing;
    • data portability;
    • withdraw any consent you previously gave.

    9. Cookies

    We use only essential, first-party cookies required to operate the Site (for example to remember form state). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

    We do not run email marketing campaigns and we do not sell your details to third-party marketers. The only outbound contact you should expect from us, or from your matched broker, relates directly to the enquiry you submitted.

    The Site is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

    12. Regulatory status

    First Run Now is an information publisher and introducer. We are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and do not provide regulated mortgage advice. Mortgage advice is provided solely by the FCA-regulated brokers we introduce you to.

    13. Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
